Data controller

RedSwiss Real Estate (realestate.redswiss.ch) is run by Anthony Thomas, a private individual resident in Switzerland. For any question about your personal data: info@anthony-thomas.ch.

The platform connects buyers and sellers with independent real-estate advisors from the iad network. When an advisor handles your project outside the platform (mandate, viewings, transaction), they process your data under their own responsibility.

Data we process

• Account: name, email address, password (stored only in hashed form, never in plain text), two-factor authentication settings and role (client, advisor, administrator).
• Sessions: IP address and browser of your sessions. While you are signed in, the time of your last activity and the last page you viewed, visible only to the platform administrator, for support and security.
• Activity log: actions taken on the platform (sign-up, sign-in, publishing, editing or deleting a listing, account changes, sending a request…), with their date and who took them. It never contains the content of documents or their file names.
• Searches: the criteria you save (countries, regions, property types, budget, area, bedrooms, notes), used to tell you about matching properties.
• Financing documents: files you upload to prepare your mortgage (ID, income, tax, bank statements, existing loans, down payment, proof of address).
• Requests: contact details (name, email, phone) and message sent to an advisor, valuation requests (property features), applications to join the team and requests to be put in touch with a partner.
• Advisors: public profile (photo, area, languages, phone, WhatsApp, bio, link to their iad page), listings, photos and videos they publish.

The site uses no audience measurement, no advertising and no third-party trackers.

Purposes

• Providing the service: showing properties and new developments, giving registered members access to off-market properties, managing your account.
• Forwarding your requests to the advisor concerned and telling you about properties matching your searches; the listing's advisor is then told of your interest, with your name and email.
• Preparing your financing file with you.
• Securing accounts: two-factor authentication, abuse prevention, support.
• Sending service emails (address confirmation, password reset, property and request notifications).

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who can see it

• Your financing documents are visible only to you and to the platform administrators. They are stored outside the public part of the site and are not passed to third parties without your consent.
• Your requests go to the advisor concerned or, failing that, to the platform administrator.
• Off-market properties are shown only to registered members, without photos or address and with price and area ranges.

Legal bases

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you or the pre-contractual steps you ask for (for example contacting an advisor), on the basis of our legitimate interest (security, support) or to meet our legal obligations.

Hosting and providers

• Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland): hosting of the servers, database, photos and documents. Your data is stored in Switzerland.
• Resend (United States): email delivery. Resend keeps email content and delivery logs in the United States; this transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses adapted to Swiss law.

These providers process your data only to provide their services to us. Links to WhatsApp, social networks, iad or Propertips send nothing until you click; those services then apply their own policy.

Retention

• Account, searches and documents: kept as long as the account exists. You can delete a document or your whole account at any time from your dashboard; deletion is immediate.
• Requests: kept as long as needed to follow up on your project. You can ask for their deletion at any time.
• Activity log: 12 months, then erased automatically. Only the platform administrator can see it.
• Backups: a daily copy of the database and files is kept for 14 days, then erased.

Some data may be kept longer where the law requires it.

Cookies

We only use cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie to keep you signed in and, if you tick "trust this device" during two-factor authentication, a cookie valid for 30 days. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed (Argon2), two-factor authentication is available, financing documents are stored separately and served only to their owner and the administrators, and the details of off-market properties (address, photos, exact price) never leave the server.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data or get a copy in a common format, and object to certain processing. Your name, email, password and account deletion are managed directly in "My account". For anything else, write to info@anthony-thomas.ch; we reply within 30 days.

You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNPD in Portugal, the AEPD in Spain or the CNIL in France).

Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page; if anything important changes, we will tell you by email or on the site.
